Creating Chant, Mantra, and Intentional Song
What I suggest first and foremost, is to listen…to the world, to your inner guidance, to other chants and mantras. Notice reactions. See the results of repetition and certain rhythms. Notice which creations are the most impactful. Your awareness will open doors.
The tools you are learning here have been around for thousands of years or more. Many have been buried due to the energy frequencies of the masses. They simply would not be able to handle the vibration. Trust that you are getting them because you are ready. Your own frequency has reached a level of higher vibration to assimilate and handle the energies necessary to give birth to the music.
Let the tools teach you. The next installment is based upon your grasping the previous one. When the energy rises, the new information is revealed. The practice opens doors and windows and offers new thresholds to cross. Be in a constant state of awareness and allow your trust to grow quickly…and act upon what you are given without hesitation. These are the keys to expansion and the manifestation of vision.
I always start with the feel first. As we are in the physical domain here, the feeling world is the most impactful, on multiple levels. Once your feel is established find the chordal structure, again, based on the chakra of intention and the associated key. Explore sound as melody before you put in any lyrics. By being sensitive you can feel the impact of the sounded melody in your own body. Notice if it is where you want it. Add the lyric last. With this foundation the lyric will be the icing on the cake….and most likely, will show itself quickly.
Pay attention to life for your inspiration. All that you experience is fair game for topics and themes. The signs, the license plates, the conversations, the movies, the songs, the readings, the ah-
In recording chants and intentional songs it is all about texturing. Each repetition loosens energetic debris in the listener. Some introduction of an instrument, a harmony, a counterpoint, a background vocal, a rhythm, etc. acknowledges and addresses this. That shift, though so subtle, helps to dig deeper energetically and clear much more than simple repetition, which in itself, is critical.
Remember the power of the voice. Utilization of it in your creations, through variation, dynamic, humming or vocalizing the lyric, pulsing, using seed sounds and specific phonemes, droning pitches, emoting, toning, doubling, call and answering…will allow your creation to have maximum success in assisting healing.
Remember your creation is simply a vehicle to convince the listener’s Higher Self to initiate and facilitate their own healing.
