The you that was before you started this course is a collection of moments lived and decisions made since just before your incarnational entrance when, as agreed upon, you forgot your Source connection. And that is magnificent for you have lived a life that you have made your own under somewhat compromised conditions…that you were under the influence of so much mis-information and burdened by the needs to fit into your culture and family and community to be accepted and valued.
And, as you are seeing with each passing session, you are so much more. And that is where we are in our journey to reclaim your wholeness and all that entails. We need to take an honest look at what you have defined yourself as.
Here is one suggestion of how you can do that. Please refer to previous pen and paper exercises reflecting on choices made in Session One, specifically Making Peace with Your Piscean Past, Your Personal Litany of Skinned Knees and Broken Bones, and Your Personal Consciousness Timeline. Gather that information for, as they say, there’s gold in them thar’ hills…
As you weed through all of this you will see a likely description of elements that could describe what you thought of yourself as well as how life showed up for you. I would suggest that some of these experiences and thought patterns and life patterns had a more profound impact upon your life up until before we started. This is where we have to go.
Again, it is useful and necessary to get the overview of how we made ourselves so we can then decide what is true, worth keeping, and worth feeding. I invite you to look through all of this, provided you did these (if not, then you have some work to do if you choose to), and find the most influential elements. Sometimes events define us for the time being. Traumas can steer us into subsequent actions and growing beliefs that impact how life shows up. If your particular training at the hands of the family and institutions left you with information, it must be surfaced, so that you can make new decisions about it.
Please get this important point. I am not, in any way saying that what you did, what happened to you, and what you did with it was wrong. I am inviting you to have the opportunity to look at many decisions made that have been foundational for the way you lived your days. When you look at them with new awareness then you can decide whether they are still useful to you. This dimension will always have free will. I am not saying that living in the way this course is revealing is the best thing for you. It is the best thing for me and I want to expose you to something I value and has been instrumental in freeing my moments of living to be more flowing and beautiful.
SO start the examination of you up until now. See where you critical made decisions and how those steered your life. What were the consequences? Who were the impactful ones along the way? How so? What did they teach you about you? How has your work impacted how you view yourself? I invite you to explore relationships, health, work, education, childhood, entertainment, therapy, if done, play, religion, spirituality, how you view life…
Are you still invested in that same type of outcome with each of these? If not you face a point of choice and change.
To answer the question of Who Am I? we must have clarity and awareness of the big picture and the design elements (which we will review in activity 6).
So, please for your sake, invest the time into this to get the historical truth out onto the table of your awareness. Have fun… and remember, be honest with yourself. If you are struggling, ask for inner guidance and assistance from Higher Self.
