You are living in a dynamic physical and energetic body that is engaging the mighty expanse of life in a dynamic world and cosmos that is in constant oscillation and change of form. You simply cannot stand still while life just whirls all around you. Stagnation has a significant cost. Get moving …now! In the new paradigm we support and engage movement on the inner and the outer domains. Let’s briefly examine both.
The inner is about moving energy, sometimes mentally through visualization and intention, and sometimes physically through specific exercise.
Cleansing Breathwork
You can send and intend your breath to come from or sweep through any place in your body that is calling you through sensation, discomfort, or pain. Doing so will bring a powerful cleansing energy to the area, likely altering the form and clearing it of blockage
Earth Star Chakra
This chakra is about 18 inches below the feet in the earth functioning much like a pate to stand upon. It focuses Earth Grounding and cleansing energy and directs it to the root chakra via the left foot/leg. Visualize cleansing Light and power moving up through the left leg in a tube that circulates through the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras, cleansing and recharging energetically. Toxic energetic debris is then channeled down a tube in the right leg to be released to the earth for cleansing and recharging.
Central Meridian Zip Up
The meridian from the pubic bone up the front of the body to the upper lip can become weak and scattered energetically, leaking life force and balancing vibrations. Starting at the pubic bone bring the fingers of the left hand up to the bottom lip three times to close off any leakage. Use this to increase confidence and self esteem, to think more clearly, to tap your inner strengths, and to protect against negative energies around you.
Lazy 8’s and Lollipop Guild Dance
When brain hemispheres lose balance we oscillate between analytical and emotional. It is advisable to return to a balanced place to allow clarity and availability of both. For the Lazy 8 use both arms in a swaying motion left and right across the front of the body moving from the hips, making sure to cross the center line of the body. The arms and hips combine in a figure 8 movement. The Lollipop guild dance has the opposite leg and arm moving simultaneously to the other side crossing the center of the body. Right arm across to left as left leg crosses in the right direction, twisting at the waist. Watch the Munchkin Dance in the Wizard of Oz fro a delightful example.
K-27 Thump
At the intersection of the clavicle and the sternum are two points along the Kidney Meridian. Follow the clavicle inward to the center and find the bumps where they stop. Then drop down about an inch and slightly outward into a slight indentation to find K-27. Cross arms and with fingers thump each point for about 20 seconds. This will flip your energies around if they have started flowing backwards. It will energize you and focus you if you are lacking attention or drowsy.
Thymus Thump
At the center of the sternum about 2-3 inches below K-27 breathe deeply as you tap firmly with four fingers of each hand for about 20 seconds. This will stimulate all of your energies, boost your immune system, and increase your strength and vitality.
Frontal Occipital Hold
Hold one hand on the forehead and one on the back of the neck covering where the skull meets the spine. Focus on relaxation, slow breathing, and releasing old patterns. Use when you are stressed or challenged and are on the brink of a fight/flight response.
Karate Chop E.F.T.
Tap both hands together at the point midway between the wrist and the base of the pinkie repeating the phrase, “Even though I feel________ I completely love and accept myself”. Use to break an emotional state or a pattern of behavior.
Lung Points and Sternum Points
When sadness and grief and tears are emerging stimulation of these points can encourage the deeper release of what is underneath the rising emotion. The lung points are the tender points outside of the sternum on the pectoral muscles just about directly above the nipples. Keep working them until the tenderness recedes or the tears flow or both. The Sternum points are at the base of the sternum. Push until you find a tender point. It can immediately start the flow of tears. Massage until release takes place. Periodic massage of each of these points will keep emotional debris moving out.
Nightly Expression cleanse
creating the space to speak out loud all the leftover unexpressed frustrations of the day, you cleanse the energy that can be stored during sleep. Repeated storing can easily lead to a physical condition requiring your attention. Do it in the shower for a double effect of the spoken word and the water binding the negative vibrations and sending them down the drain.
Breathe Intentionally
Full breathing will provide the prana to cleanse, clarify, and energize the cells. Breath of Fire will energize you. Breathe in through the nose to the diaphragm as quickly as you can for a minute. Connected breath will amplify an emotion and encourage the flow of that emotion to full release. Breathe in and out through the nose with no pause on the intake or the release, like a circle. Do this for at least a minute or until the desired release takes place. Keep returning to this breath even when you start to forget to breathe.
External movement is just that. Move your physical body. Make a sweat. Celebrate vitality and fluidity and flexibility. Choose to stay limber.
Throw a Tantrum
When frustrated or angry stomp your feet upon the earth and, if able, flail the hands and make sound as well. This tantrum moves the energy build up of anger and re-grounds you as well.
Dance and Sing
Regular dancing and singing will keep the system open and flowing, cleansing chakras and energizing the spirit. Dancing to Salsa will cleanse all chakras at once…have fun most of all. It is not the steps but the intention that is the key.
Exercise
Find your way, make it varied. Make it aerobic. Make it fun. Do it outdoors to amplify the vibration and the effect. Move the blood. Vitalize the chi and the pranic life force.
Walk in Nature
This is nourishing on so many levels. Make it a daily experience. Take your shoes off and get your feet on the Earth. This can heal you of what ails you.
Move spontaneously
Do an elbow dance. Make your hips circle and oscillate. Work your face muscles. Be creative. Trust your guidance here…Amplify the experience by bringing in the voice to create a verbal sound track. Cleansing and release without even realizing it.
Timely Movement
If you have a desk job that requires extended sitting time then consider setting a timer for an hourly reminder to get up and move for five minutes. Stretch and work your main muscle groups, especially the hips and lower back. Shoulder circles and neck circles will bring the blood back to your upper body and neck. Quick and easy. Consider also a foot roller that can be under desk. Periodically clear the soles of the feet and see the impact on the whole body.
Formal Energy Movement
Consider learning yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Gung, The Five Tibetans, etc. These are conscious practices that are spiritually and energy based. You are amplifying your entire being by choosing to do any of them. Local classes, DVD courses, or even online resources will get you started.
