Expansion Activity Five: Chant/Mantra/Intentional Song Support Archives 1-8

Session One

Bismillah, from the CD, Chant

The Bismillah is a chant about emptying out so that we may be filled. From the Islamic tradition, is speaks of the ongoing moment by moment remembering of The One, during all of our thoughts and actions. It translates to be “in the name of Allah, as an instrument of the One, in harmony with the Divine Presence, etc”.

The er Rahman er Rahim is a recognition and honoring of the very source of all existence, the source of all blessings, the source of all compassion, the source of all mercy who gives endlessly to us and who also responds according to our moral integrity, our harmony with all of creation and our love of Allah. We give compassion and receive mercy.

The whole phrase,  Bismillah, er rahman, er rahim, is such a holy phrase in Islamic tradition that it often begins each verse of the Koran, With every breath that we breathe, may we be act on behalf of the Divine Presence, the Source of all that we receive. With this awareness Bismillah remains and the I disappears. Surrender, embrace reflect, and be the Holy That I Am…

Session Two

Hoong Vajra Pay, from the CD, Sung Mantras

This is one of the great chants from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. It calls for a cocoon of light energy to surround us, keeping us in a protected, safe state. The sphere of energy that is manifested is an oscillating field that with repeated use of the mantra expands out to surround the Earth. Thus, application of this mantra on a regular basis is an energetic salve for humanity and the planet.

Remember that everything is frequency. To call forth a field serves to not allow any vibration lower than your current frequency.to enter that inner space. This sustains you in your place of balance, if, indeed, that is what you are in.

Use this mantra from the time you walk out the door. Use it in driving or flying. Use it as you come and go from the environments and atmospheres you find yourself in. The power of this mantra has been amplified by the millions + times it has been intended and spoken. Know you are in good hands when you invoke this frequency intention. Knowing you are in good hands allows you to take risks and enter willingly into your own grand adventure.

Session Three

A Gathering of Hearts, from the CD, The New Vibration

When love makes her call we arise and gather at the river
To cleanse and renew and to witness the Light in us all
With my feet on the Earth I reawaken the memory of me
In this openness I reconnect with you effortlessly
It’s a gathering of hearts   You and me

     C. April 13, 2012 Mark Stanton Welch

In 2012 I was called to support a Minister’s Retreat in the Northwest Region of Unity Churches at a retreat grounds called Manuka overlooking the Columbia River in Northern Oregon. When I arrived and was setting up a guitar motif kept inserting itself in my warm up. So I went with it and fleshed it out. The director of the event approached and asked if I had a song that would support the theme. I said, it looks like it is arriving. So, I wrote the lyrics based on the gathering at the river…

The song is very haunting and invokes the vibration that calls to those who arrive. The frequency is often the attraction, though most do not realize it. As a songwriter I simply tune into the vibe and the song delivers itself to my conscious anticipation. Use this chant/intentional song to gather people at the beginning of an event. It can be interwoven throughout the experience to bring the energetic focus back to the forefront.

Session Four

Gate, Gate (Heart Sutra Dance), from the CD, Chant

From the Buddhist tradition comes a very essential mantra referred to as the Heart Sutra. The meaning is essentially that by letting go of your preconceived notions, opinions, and attachments, you can become open to all the wonders of our life. Translated: Gate means gone. Gone from suffering to the liberation of suffering. Gone from forgetfulness to mindfulness. Gone from duality into non-duality.  Gate gate means gone, gone. Paragate means gone all the way to the other shore. So this mantra is said in a very strong way. Gone, gone, gone all the way over.  In Parasamgate sam means everyone, the sangha, the entire community of beings. Everyone gone over to the other shore. Bodhi is the light inside, enlightenment, or awakening. You see it and the vision of reality liberates you. And svaha is a cry of joy or excitement, like "Welcome!" or "Hallelujah!" "Gone, gone, gone all the way over, everyone gone to the other shore, enlightenment, svaha !"

Use this chant/mantra this week to release the old vibrations and open the heart chakra to a new higher frequency of living in the Now, unencumbered by the past  lower energies of experience. Sing it to maintain and expand in your moments of living. Go now, far beyond what was thought to be. More is what you are...

Session Five

Om Apadamata Hataram Dataram, from the CD, Mantras

This spoken Mantra, Om  Apadamapa Hataram Dataram Sarva Sampadam Loka Bhib Ramam Shri Ramam Bhuyo Bhuyo Namamyaham,  is from the CD, Mantras.  It is considered a very powerful healing mantra.  It translates to mean “Om, a most compassionate Rama. Please send your healing energy right here to the Earth, Salutations”

Use it to address any condition for which you would like cleansing and healing support, bringing you back to the place of Wholeness. Remember, a mantric treatment requires that you speak this mantra 108 times at least twice a day for 40 days. Your devotion becomes the magnet for the correct vibration to shift your lower frequency condition. Your consistency also is a testament to your faith which translates to your willingness to do something different and trust the unseen higher energies.

Please, do not take this lightly. This mantra has been spoken for thousands of years and carries a collective intention that is strong and effective. Please do the practice and get out of the way. It is not our task to know the how or set the path to success. Show up to the moment and the guidance and opportunity it brings. Namaste!

Session Six

This intentional song is an invitation to be authentic. The many masks we adopt and utilize are vehicles of separation we use to distance ourselves from intimacy. The irony is that intimacy and connections is exactly what most of us are seeking. The decision to keep people at a distance further isolates us and perpetuates patterns on the outside looking in.

This chant like intentional song is designed to invite us to let go of our adopted personas and show up in the unity of love that we all are. Why not? The worst that could happen is nothing…or further separation. But, so what?! These are times that invite and push us towards remembering who we are. What good is the memory if we choose to mask it again? Our walls successfully keep people out. Great, for those of lower vibration. But what about those of like vibration? It keeps them out too. Alone again, naturally.

So, stop. Put yourself in situations and be you. Take off the many masks and be authentic. Explore and experience and see what happens. Adjust and take risks. The masks keep us from life. I know that is not what you want…say “yes!” to you and show up naked, vulnerable, and willing.
