As we open to the expanded possibilities and begin to experience the new forms the process feeds itself. It is like the blinders are taken off, like the movie goes from black and white to color, like the music is heard for the first time on a record player and a high end analog audio system. It feeds itself.

The dream state is another vehicle for expanded consciousness. And yes, like most topics in this course, it involves releasing the old perspectives and beliefs, jettisoning the past experiences, and committing to the full sensory expansion of the now moment. Awareness is not just a conscious thing. In the realm of dreams and multi-dimensionality it is sub-conscious awareness as well. And here is where we can undo the influence of past choices. And this is exciting.

As you access the conscious state  around the clock, so to speak, you are able to exercise the same intentional skills and actions no matter your waking state. Open to the idea and say yes to the experience with no judgment whatsoever, just observation. In a sense, the scientific method is needed in the beginning. Just the facts , ma’am. The emotion will be revealed in full glory once the foundation is laid. For remember, this dimension is about experiencing life through the wash of emotion. And, as it stands now, most of us are turned off to that while we sleep, except in the case of problem solving nightmares and sexual dreams…which can be quite engaging. At some point the dream state becomes more and more like an unfettered waking state, because you are more in the fourth and fifth dimensional fields where the 3D limits are no longer necessary. And again, remember that this is really a preparation, a preview, of what is available to us and what is to come.

Many of the more expansive and adventurous dream techniques come from shamanic traditions because this is the realm where the shaman does most of their work, the multi-dimensional integrated dream state, bringing intentional experiences and information back from those realms to the place we have termed, “normal”, a place so very far from that in actuality. But for now this veil is necessary to maintain the fading idea of separation for the purpose of gradual integration.

In the shamanic practices there is a common technique to vibrate consciousness to an awakened state via drumming. This shamanic drumming is a fast paced at about 180 beats per minute, in a two beat mode.  Here is a sample  to listen to. Listening to this drumming will deliver you to the altered state that serves as the bridge between worlds.

Focusing on the sino-atrial point on the physical heart at about 11 o’clock facing outward will also open up dimensional doorways as this is a known access point for shamanic traveling as well.

Connected circular breathing with no stopping point between inhalation and exhalation will also create an altered state that is useful for waking dreaming as well, though you may have to move through some emotional release of energetic debris to get there…which is a good thing of itself.

The energy of daydreaming where one softens into a different brain wave and separates from the influence of time and space is a useful example of being in a receptive/active state as well. This is a reference that can help you integrate into the sleep realms.

The point of these tools is to invite you to practice their use so that you can begin to invite and integrate waking dreaming. Once you are able to create a unification of dimensions then you are free to come and go in a sense, traveling between states in a conscious exploration.

Take time to get into nature and find a spot that calls to you, that is visually appealing, that is away from human influence as much as possible. Breathe deeply through the nose to the belly, continuing to do so. Keep the eyes open and simply allow a soft focus where you are not really attending to anything in particular. The point is to allow. When you focus on something then go soft again. Let your thoughts do what they want. Think open and think connected with the environment. Do this for up to 15 minutes. See what happens…building muscles.

In some ways you are working intentionally with your own brainwaves, those beta, alpha, theta, delta, gamma things.

Beta (14-40Hz) — The Waking Consciousness & Reasoning Wave. ...

Alpha (7.5-14Hz) — The Deep Relaxation Wave. ...

Theta (4-7.5Hz) — The Light Meditation & Sleeping Wave. ...

Delta (0.5-4Hz) — The Deep Sleep Wave. ...

Gamma (above 40Hz) – The Insight Wave.

There are machines and binaural beats and isochronic tones and paired tuning forks and recordings that can help you start to regulate these. And you can do it consciously with some attention and action. In fact, each day you descend and ascend through the sequence each time you move to sleep and move into wakefulness. So, you are actually quite versed at doing this. What you did above in nature is one way to regulate the brain waves. The more you do it the more you benefit and grow in confidence.

I am in process of creating a workable set of binaural recordings, some with subliminal theme statements and others with a variety of backgrounds. I will inform you when they are ready. In the meantime, here are a couple of links to explore to get some.

Much of the cosmos functions on symbolism and archetypes as these deliver universal messages that are then interpreted by your own frequency level and applied as such. You can prep yourself for more conscious dreaming by adopting this awareness in your regular waking state. Nothing that happens, no form that unfolds, no person who comes along, no animal, no sign, no program, happens without some information for you. Pay attention to that. When something happens refrain from an immediate interpretation, choosing, rather, to carry the image with you and let it “deliver the message”. Pay attention.

Now, of course, you can get quite overwhelmed by watching everything and interpreting. Look for the unusual first. Set an intention and then pay attention. Ask a question and look for guidance.  Information can be subtle but obvious (in that it is out of your personal norm). Start to think in terms of symbolism and metaphor and expanded meaning. This will carry over into your dream state as you will have altered your focus.

Doing the prep work allows some of the old beliefs and perspectives to be released. This then lays out fertile ground for you to to embark on expansive living. Each night before you go to sleep here is a suggested routine to consider:

1. Long before you get ready for be make sure you are well hydrated.

2. Make a note in a journal about what might be left over from the day, unprocessed energy, unspoken words, unfelt and unreleased emotion.

3. Now take what you wrote down and process it in the bathroom as part of your pre-sleep routine. Open the lid to the toilet and speak out loud all that is unsaid to the persons involved. Go until you are feeling clear energetically and thought wise. Flush the toilet and go to bed. Now you will not be using the dream state as a processing pit.

4. Consider setting a particular intention for your dream state. Maybe a question to be addressed, a current issue seeking insight, a new direction or pathway to be given light, etc. Speak it out loud and invite revelation.

5. One of the most fertile times is as you drop from alpha into beta and then into theta waves. You are clear and receptive and expansive. Here you can play a recording of intentional statements, recycle details of a new belief to bring in, communicate with your cells, tissues, and organs, interface with your inner child to support or re-educate, etc. Place beside you the pad and pencil, the recorder, etc. to assist you in recording any of your nighttime adventures and journeys and insights.

6. Every time you wake up move to write down the first thoughts and awarenesses. Do so each time you awake. As you go back to sleep you can do some of the same intending.

7. Finally, during morning wake up, consider setting daily intention and calling forth that which you desire. I am creating a Going to Sleep and a Waking Up recording to provide some high frequency programming. I will let you know when they are available.

Consider this as a regular process. The more you engage it the more it will serve you and reveal to you. Also know that if you take naps that this is a good time to use focus as well.

Your dreams can be clairvoyant, likely the result of out of body journeys. They can be telepathic in that communication with another flows easily. They can be precognition where you engage in something coming into your waking life.

If you really want to explore the conscious dreaming panorama then get the Robert Moss book, Conscious Dreaming: A Spiritual Path for Everyday Life. There is so much there, far beyond the scope of this session

I will close with a short list of potential dream “assignments” you can explore.

  1. Interface with a past life version of you
  2. Connect with someone who has passed, known or unknown
  3. Call in your guides for conference or insight or direction
  4. Set up a meeting with your Inner Child Self and your Higher Self
  5. Access Source
  6. Travel to an Earthly destination
  7. Travel to a Celestial destination
  8. Go to school with a specific Ascended Master
  9. Call in a visit with an Archangel of your choice
  10. Problem solve
  11. Visit your partner in the dream state
  12. Work on a new skill to bring back to the waking state
  13. As you can see, the possibilities are endless.

Look to the dream state as a natural resource that is a significant part of your whole design. The foundation of belief sets the stage for awareness which opens the door to access and then experiences. You are developing muscles. The final element is to take action on the revelations of the dream state. This is a primary good faith move that primes the manifestation pump. Continued use begets continued results. Expand your life into the realm of 24/7 consciousness. What doors that opens are between you and your Source. It is well worth the adventure.

See you out there…and, by the way…dream on.
